My first holiday party of the season
 went off without a hitch-
Friday afternoon, I welcomed my co-workers
into my home for a holiday "office" party!

The regifting grab bag was a riot!!
But, as the saying goes..
"One man's junk is another man's treasure"
or something like that!!lol

The laughs, the food and the company...

Food, drink and a re-gifting grab bag
The halls were decked,
the buckets were filled with ice and spirits-
the table was dressed in all its holiday fare
Lots of fun, laughter, fa la la's and
good cheer with great friends!
A lovely way to start off the holiday party season!!

Maybe next time, I'll have a new camera so my pictures will be clear and bright!!!

Well, take care, gotta fly- Claire

Simple ornaments

I have always made ornaments with my kids...
Now my kids are grown but I still love to make them...
Some of my favorites on our tree were the simplest to make
Thought I'd show you some of our cuties!

The walnut baby-
a hallowed out walnut shell, a puff of cotton,
a wooden ball face,
and a square of felt
all hung on a red thread!!

reindeer-versions 1 and 2-

salt dough hearts-

ladybug clips-

angel clothespin-
santa chopsticks-

a thumbprint snowman
sorry about blurry pic!!

monogrammed balls-

text balls

candy cane mouse

and
the newest this year..
a roly-poly Santa belly!!

A simple red ball, a strip of black tape
with a square of white tape-
equals
a basket full of jolly bellies!!!

These are a few of my favorite things this holiday season!

Garden expansion

I have been so busy!!
lol
Just like the rest of you!!
but
I did mention how much I loved to garden,
didn't I?

So, why not make another garden and enlarge one, too!

Now that the nice weather has arrived,
there's no better way
to spend my free time
 than out in the garden!

I just love puttering
 and
designing where I want the plants to nestle-

Most of the plants are recycled from my other gardens
which were exploding to the brim-

So, without further chatter
I present my little piece of heaven-
(imagine when it's flowing with flowers- until next time)
Enjoy the view!!!!

Twiggy Tree

I love my twig tree-A Pier 1 clearance find a couple years ago and it warms my heart when I decorate it.  Now, don't get me wrong, the birds take it over most of the time. Throughout most of the year, white doves inhabit the tree but at Christmas time, the birdies fly south and I am able to hang my 12 days of Christmas glass ornaments that I cherish (a pottery barn gift from my sis!).  With the big Love day right around the corner, my red cardinals have appeared.  They always put a smile on my face and a song in my heart! Well, take care-gotta fly-Claire
