The Blue Room

No matter what I see in decor magazines, blogs and Pinterest - my eye is always drawn to the blue family-

I love blue and white in my home but at times, it can look chilly- no one wants a cold looking room- 

Adding accent colors is one way to go-

In my case, I've never added a pop of another color- my white is more creamy which tends to add warmth- even when my drape fabric and china is pure white and blue- somehow, it works, for me!

As I browse the web, I found lots of inspiration, so maybe a change is in the air-

Blue and White Home Decor

As I've mentioned before,

my home decor color scheme has never been "in",

you know, with the trends

but I'm starting to see quite alot of

blue and white on Pinterest

and it makes me soooo happy-

Thought I'd share some of my favs with you!

Just something I learned FYI-

Blue is a magnificent feng shui color.

It ranges from gentle aqua blue to

the blue-green of the ocean

 to the deep indigo blue of the crown chakra.

 In feng shui, we associate blue with the clear sky

and the healing, refreshing waters.

Feng shui-wise, color blue belongs to the Water feng shui element.
This color is excellent for use in the
feng shui bagua areas of East (Health & Family)
and Southeast (Wealth &
of your home or office,
as Water energy nourishes the Wood element
of these two feng shui areas.


You can bring the needed blue color as wall color,
 art depicting blue, or various decor items

It's a small obsession

any blog I see with blue and white decor

 quickly becomes a favorite-

 so when Traditional Home mag

showcased blue and white rooms this month, 

I was gaga!!

(and not the lady kind-lol)

Aren't these rooms fresh and clean

soothing as an ocean breeze
the sky on a crisp spring day
the blue and white evokes a feeling of peaceful serenity

My living room is blue and white
I love the feeling surrounded in an ocean of blue
it envelops me and brings a new version of cozy to this room-

If you've never tried this color combo
give it a try in a small space-
I think it will give you that serene place
 you may be looking for too!
