Over the past few years,
I made quite alot of jewelry.
I made quite alot of jewelry.
I sold quite alot of jewelry too-
at craft fairs, at work, mostly to friends through friends-
I haven't made any in the past year.
Ever since I started blogging-
odd isn't it?
a blog about creativity and I stopped creating jewelry!
weird
weird
But, I was in Michael's craft store the other day
and the beads are gorgeous-
My heart began to pitter patter and
I couldn't pull myself away without first picking some silver beads up-
I hesitated because I do have bins and bins of beads already-
but I saw these silver beads and knew immediately
that I needed to make a watchband with them-
All you need are 2 strands of beads, jelly wire, and 4 hooks-
All you need are 2 strands of beads, jelly wire, and 4 hooks-
Feed the jelly wire through beads, ending with the lobster claw clasp-
pull the thread through the clasp about 3 inches-
knot it and thread it back through the beads for a 2nd time!
Both bead strands should have lobster claw clasps on each end-
And that's exactly what I did!!
So simple, but I think it's a beauty-
something I will wear anytime, anywhere-
I have other bands to clip to this watch
but I think this has a modern flair
with the chunky silver-
so simple to make-
I'm never gonna make it as a hand model-lol!

So, simple, cheap, fun-what else can you ask for??
Well, take care, gotta fly- Claire
Claire, As mixed media artist, I think we all have jewelry making somewhere in our history. It's a great jumping off point. I love your watch! I still like to cruise down the jewelry isle at Michael's.
