In the dictionary, happiness is a mental or emotional state of well

being characterized by positive or pleasant emotions 

ranging from contentment to intense joy.

nice, huh?

Everyone experiences happiness in their own way,

people want different things and sadly, they think

"things" will make them happier-

But, as we age, we learn it is not the "things" that bring true happiness-

You and you alone are the key to your happiness-

Travel your journey through this life

with happiness in your heart-

The truth of your happiness lies within you-

Be happy you are alive and let your inner

happiness shine through to those around you-

it may just rub off on them.

Thrilled

I was thrilled when I heard my first Ka-ching from my Etsy shop-

I was thrilled when I sold many of my creations at fairs.

Thrilled when I get compliments on my love nest pendants-

All of these things are thrilling-

when your dream is working, it is thrilling-

Thrills are something we all seek-
some people are total thrill seekers-
I'm kind of a wimp with any scary thrills-
roller coasters, fast cars, but chasing your dreams can
also be scary thrills-
putting yourself out there for people to see the real you-
self promoting is not my thing-I cringe at it but
with any business, promoting is the key to success-
so, I am taking baby steps to promote my dream-

I particularly like the synonym alive-

Working, to me, always meant going out of the house to a job-
but
now, working means much more.
I wake up and my mind is working, not the crazy thoughts about what will happen at the office but
what can I work on today?
What will be my goals for the day?
My goals-
no one elses.

It's not always easy, but it makes me feel alive!

It's harder work for me than it was when I left the house for a job-
I make the rules, the schedule, the work
but
it's so much more than that-
it's living my dream and if I fail today, it's all on me-
but, when it's good, it's very, very good,

so many feelings race through your mind on a daily basis,

it's sometimes hard to keep focused on the task at hand!

We will fail at times, some may say it was a big flop-

Flops hurt

You feel bad, depressed, like a failure-

you may even start back pedaling, maybe this isn't the right road on the journey-

It's especially hard to not reach the finish line-

but you have to remember, 

you ran the race, 

you participated 

and did your best-

That's was matters most-

we can't always be the winner but if we make the attempt.

Goodwill Hunting

I don't have to remind all of you that I'm a thrift store junkie.

My all time favorite store to shop in is the Goodwill outlet-

I'm always on the hunt for cool display items for my fair booth.
That day was no different-

the minute I walked in my eyes shot towards this-

LOVE was in the air!

These shutters-

forget to take a picture before I went to

 town with my spray paint-

And this storage bin-

Birdhouses galore!

I was in my glory!!

The shelf was cute and I loved the black and white trim but not the rest-

 If I was a patient crafter, I would have hand painted it and
attempted to 

keep the checkerboard border in tact- but alas, I'm not-

So, I wiped it down with a lick and a promise and sprayed myself silly with glee!

Isn't that the cutest display shelf for Bless My Nest Shop?

Don't all start cheering!

The shutters were yucky, covered in dirt and webs-

Wiped down and sprayed,

I think they will make an adorable display for my earrings.

Can't wait to show you the earring display cards I 

found on Etsy- adorable!!

This birdhouse step storage got one coat of white paint-

I haven't decided but probably this will also become turquoise and

I have to decide how and what I'll display on it-

Great for storage and the wicker sleigh will be a great display at the Holiday Fairs!
