DIY Window Treatments

I just finished up the powder room updates
and I showed you this
funky reclaimed wood "box" from GW-

It was an odd piece because attached to it were 3 vinyl maps-
one of the United States, North America, South America-
I don't know what it was, perhaps a geography project
 from long ago-
I'm not a real rustic type gal, so the natural reclaimed wood
was not staying that way- I painted the wood white after ripping the vinyl maps apart from the wood-

It still looked too raw for my liking-

I decided to cover it and use it as a fabric valance-

The bathroom window is small but a favorite of mine-
I liked both pieces but it was very cramped and the window
was too covered up-

So, I removed the long valance
 and kept the fabric/ wood
valance on that window

 and
moved the longer valance to the back door
in the laundry room-

 a perfect color and fit-
Works well when you use the same gallon of paint!!

Take care, gotta fly-
