Trends gone by as in bye bye!

I'm not a lover of many trends in home decor

But I am also not a professional decorator-

I know what I like and rarely stray-

Burlap fabric has been seen in a few pillows in my home 

But sitting on burlap, especially in my favorite black, 

doesn't fare well!

No chevron or burlap banners -

Never did get into the sun burst mirrors or animal prints-

Don't get me wrong- they look beautiful in homes, I just 

can never picture certain trends here, that's all-

I am a bit of a matchy matchy gal 

but that said, 

I have gotten away from matching end tables, 

lamps, sets of furniture-

I just happen to like matching colors 

As I write this, I have to chuckle-

I bought 2 new lamps for my living room
 to replace these blue and white ones

I love Mercury glass and was pleasantly surprised to find
these in the Better Homes and Garden section at Walmart-
$20 per lamp and each shade was $12-

I replaced 2 blue and white lamps for mercury glass lamps

and

yes, they match 

I guess I love symmetry- haha

I guess I should rethink this post and maybe call it

"Symmetrical Crazy"!!

I have written a few posts on blue and white decor,
my love for it and how it isn't a popular color scheme
in home decor-

I was quite surprised when a Pottery Barn catalog arrived the other day
titled Cover Story Indigo!

Finally, blue is back, so...

call me
trendy,
 stylish,
ahead of the times

but
please
don't call me

symmetrically crazy!
