Unending Love

This year has been a roller coaster of emotions-

My mom passed away on January 1st

It is still very raw

A new year of firsts

Mixed emotions have filled my heart

this year

The heavy sadness is with me

everyday-

Some days it is too much to carry

But I am blessed with my family-

I am blessed with so many cherished memories of my mom

She was truly my best friend-

as the holidays approach-

it is a time to reflect on all my blessings-

my heart is heavy -

We have also had a year

 filled with love and happiness 

as my oldest daughter 

got married-

Parties of celebrations were filled with family and friends-

My sisters and daughters have been my rocks throughout this year

and we all carried on with a strength from my mother's love for us-

We are strong women because of her-

more compassionate

more loving

more generous

more forgiving

more blessed-

 Thanksgiving will be our first holiday without her

It will be an emotional one-

but we will survive 

because of her-

We will laugh and cry 

telling stories

All the love she had for all of us-

we will always remember 

And keep that love alive

Because we are blessed
