Fall decor!

The crisp night air, the smell of burning leaves and the crock pot on the kitchen counter let me know fall is here! I used to think of fall decor as mainly Halloween decorations- pumpkins, bats, ghosts, and goo!  I have never been a huge fan of orange decor-maybe it's just me but not much orange anything has entered my house.  Fruit is a big ticket item in fall decor, especially apples and pears and I love me some pears! I always try to add alot of white to my holiday decor so I can keep it out through Thanksgiving.   Something new is always in the cards for the season.  This year I didn't do too much.  Went to Michaels, bought a fake white pumpkin for $6, glued a ribbon from my stash to the stem and used my trusty sharpie to add an "R" monogram for personalizing and a $2 leaf wreath/centerpiece, courtesy of the dollar store!  I am so inspired by everyone's fall decor that I feel I need to spice it up a bit! Oh well, nothing a trip through blogland can't cure!  Gotta fly!  Claire

  3. Love that pear! I received your comment on my blog, but no way to respond. #1 "to do" thing would be to add your email address to your blogger profile ;-). Then, scour the web for info on creating a successful blog. Sheposts.com has some good tips.

    Good luck!
