I just love a bargain- don't you?
No better place to find them but the dollar store.
My porch was overdue for some sprucing up but I didn't want
to spend a lot of $$ so I shopped my house
and the dollar store. I decided to add a red, white and blue theme-
My white wicker furniture and blue rug were the perfect backdrop for
some patriotic accents.
Dish towels from the $1 store caught my eye right away-
I had found pillow inserts at GW still in the store wrapping-
Some flags for $1-
I had a worn out cream pillow that had
seen better days, so I whip stitched a small flag to the front of it!
Can't ever have too many cardinals!
A few paper fans, lanterns and a larger flag
gave this wall a fabulous impact-
An old pitcher and my favorite shots of my kids
at the Statue of Liberty
years ago!
An old black and white of my daughters playing dress up!
An old mirror with some patriotic tchotchkes hang and a frame from GW
gets spruced up with some red silk tulips, a sweet nest and a ceramic sign.
The pillows were simple- too lazy to get my sewing machine out-
I quickly hand stitched them together.
All together, I spent under $10 to add some life to my outdoor space-
and who doesn't smile when you see Americana decor!
