Happy 4th Dollar Store Style

With July 4th this week, thought I'd share some simple ideas to celebrate the holiday with food and decor,
with kids in mind, they can get involved in the decorating as well!

The only simple part of this for me, is to purchase a ready made pie, cut out some ready made crust into stars and stripes, bake them gently and add to top of pie!

Mason Jars are simple to find
and adding a few garden stems
makes a sweet rustic centerpiece.

Bandanna's can be found at the Dollar Store, a few stitches or double sided tape colorfully add a holiday touch to the table-

Use them for napkins on your buffet table-

Free printables are easy to find on the web- slip one into a frame and it makes a cute alternative to a floral wreath!

A quick red, white and blue art piece made with drinking straws
is a fun activity for kids to enjoy-

Food coloring, rice and
a citronella candle will keep pests away-

A bucket of geraniums from the garden center and flags from the Dollar Store add color and life to the party-
Empty coffee cans, painted and nail punched, make festive lanterns-

Watermelon cake, blueberries and pound cake- yum

A simple chalkboard says it all-

You can find all these ideas on
my Pinterest board, American Pie, here.

Inexpensive ideas will help to make your party a blast!

Take care, gotta fly-
