DIY Vinyl Tile Flooring

You saw the bathroom update-

and then I showed you my painted rug for the room-

ah, so lovely- clean and fresh...

but, that peachy tile floor was driving my crazy!!

Ripping it up was out of the question
and out of the budget
but
something had to change -

so, vinyl tiles came to the rescue!

gray "marble" tiles

the perfect solution at the perfect price-

Only one box was needed, so for $29-
I have a whole new look in the powder room-
and I couldn't be happier!

The tiles are really easy to put down-
make sure your floor is perfectly clean,
start in the middle of the floor and lay as many
full tiles before you need to start making cuts to fit in
smaller spaces-
The vinyl was easy to cut with a utility knife
and the curved areas at the base of the toilet were cut
with a scissor.

I used paper as a template- in the small, awkward spaces left,
I cut out paper and fit it in like a jigsaw puzzle piece-

I have to admit, those curved pieces took a bit of time
to figure out- the expression, measure twice, cut once is
highly recommended!!

So, the powder room is updated by
using leftover paint, a box of vinyl tiles and
 a new window treatment-

A simple transformation that makes a big impact
 without breaking the bank- LOVE!!

Take care, gotta fly-
