America, the Beautiful

I have always been a patriotic kinda gal-
goes all the way back to 7th grade
when I fashionably strutted a mini culotte
 patterned in the American flag!
(Doesn't sound too fashion forward!!)

I always loved throwing a big 4th of July bash for my whole family!
I was much more interested in the decor -
(don't get me wrong, food is high on my likes list too!!)
But, I would go all out-
from tablecloths, place mats, plates and platters
to clay pots painted red, white and blue each sporting a citronella candle-
like these from

 bluejay.com
Little white lights were strung along our tall fence,
the garden shed was shining too!
I'm always drawn to patriotic decor and crafts so
when I spotted some beauties on Pinterest I just had to share!!

This ribbon wreath by The Suburban Mom
seems extra simple to fashion and makes a "dy-no-mite" impact!

Who doesn't love an all American ice cream sandwich-
especially decked out in the red, white and blue!!

Spangled Sandwich Pops

These all-American chocolate dipped
strawberries look extra yummy!

These stars and striped cupcakes
look almost too pretty to eat
(but not  in my house!)

Red, White and Blue Cupcakes

These 4th of July cake pops look
scrumptious enough
 to pop'em right in!!
Don't you agree?

Cake truffles

Last, but not least-
an updated version of a yummy sangria
from PunchBowl.com!
Check out the pineapple stars!

Hope you enjoyed these ideas sportin' the good ole'
red, white and blue!

Have a fab firecracker 4th!!
Take care, gotta fly-
