A wooden tray is useful in the home.
It is great for carrying things.
It is great as a server.
It is fabulous to use in a vignette!
A wooden tray is nice to have.
It's even better to find at GW.
Even better
when it's $1.99,
to boot!
This tray got a quick spray of Krylon black.
Then, I painted the inside with acrylic craft paint,
Americana in bleached sand
that didn't work out like I hoped-
I used a stencil sponge brush and
I used a stencil sponge brush and
although they didn't have to be perfectly precise,
the dots didn't look like dots!
So, whats a girl to do-
I repainted the bottom of the tray
and
covered up the bumpy, lumpy dots-
black was the color of choice!
Basically,
it looked like it did
in the very beginning,
(a very good place to start!! LOL!!)
I hear a song....haha
Anywhooo, I decided to be more careful this time,
because how many times can a tray be painted
Instead of paint,
I went with contact paper!
No painted messes this time-
Instead of dots,
I argyled it!
I thought it needed a preppy flair
and
that's what it got!
Well, I've been a busy crafty bee
these past few days
so,
now I'm off-
to check out some of my fav blogs
but I'll keep you posted-
take care, gotta fly-Claire
