As I've said before, I love painted furniture. Painted, glazed distressed-they're all great-but I like decorative painting the most! This dresser was my husband's grandparents. For years, we used it as it was, stained walnut. Then, I painted it black and stenciled it with grapes in a wicker basket.(sorry no pictures of before). Well, boredom struck.(what's new?) Harlequin has always intrigued me. Actually, I am always inspired by the stacks of Ballard Design catalog's I stockpile all over! Although, this was my 1st piece painted in the harlequin style, I guarantee, it won't be the last! Take care-Gotta fly! Claire
I’m a huge fan of harlequin so really love this! I want to paint the ceiling in my small butler’s pantry area with a harlequin pattern. I also have a couple of neat furniture pieces I need to work on.
ReplyDeleteI ADORE harlequin, this is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSoo cute I love harlequin. I've done walls like this and they looked great.
ReplyDeleteI love this dresser (looks great in person, too), but I confess I never noticed the sweet blue bird painted on the side. Charming!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I am your polar opposite. The things in my house are so bland! It's nice to meet you. Thank you for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteThat looks beautiful! You do a great job, that dresser could sell for a few thousand in a shop!
ReplyDeleteLisa here stopping in from BF!
I am all a twitter about life
I love Harlequin too but I could really get carried away with it! I have another piece I'm thinking of doing with creams and beiges-we'll see!
