Saturday Favorites

Today my favorites are all about
the Red, White and Blue!
With Independence day right around the corner-
it's patriotic decor all the way!

Gail, from Bible Lovenotes created
this flag pillow using flags she
picked up on sale after the holiday!

Miranda from Pressing On,
designed this Betsy Ross version of
the American flag on a plain armoire she had-
Such a patriotic statement!

Lucy May of Lucy's Lampshade
has quite the creative daughter-
she transformed an old  blanket chest
to fit in with her Americana bedroom decor
with a nautical twist!

Christina from I Gotta Create
fashioned a patriotic straw caddy
using an old Pringles can!

Country Living magazine has some fab ideas when it
comes to the red, white and blue!
This American flag gate was created by a homeowner to
replicate a similar one she had seen at the American Folk Art Museum in NYC!!

Hope these inspired you to all a bit of Americana decor to your homes too!

Have a fun filled and safe 4th of July!

Lucketts Store

One of my favorite blogs to gaze lovingly at is
Marian's at Miss Mustard Seed-
She inspires me at every turn-
Her furniture creations are candy to the eye-
the colors she chooses look amazing
and she is currently in the process of
designing her own line of milk paint-
what can't she do???
She has a room of her goodies at
The Old  Lucketts Store
and they have an online store-
need I say more?

I did some browsing and fell in love with a small
rectangular wood box filled with 5 mini bud vases-

It was too rustically french for me to pass up!
It arrived in a brown box with an old fashioned stamp-
a blue pickup truck Lucketts Store!

Splendid!

It's simple and charming

and oh so French!

Go check this store out-
adorable and very affordable.

Don't forget to keep your eye out
for Marian's newest line of milk paint too!!

Take care, gotta fly-

Saturday Favorites

Well, Saturday favorites are back
and I even got the day right!!lol

Tami from This and That from Tami
took a banged up two tiered table
and created a wonderful word art piece-
All the fabulous places in her area are
highlighted to treasure-
Go check out her before and after!

Dewdrop Gardens is a
 newbie blog,
and this potting bench she and her husband created
is massive with so many spots for storage-
It began its life as an old work bench from hubby-
Her creativity using crib parts to hang things as
well as other inventive ideas made this
 a gardener's dream "office"

Check out this skirt she added to dress it up and hide the workings!

Dana from circadee.com
found this beauty on the curbside-
How lucky can one get!?
The size, the patina are perfect for all her vintage
pots, planters and decor!

Lucy from Lucy Designs Online
and I go way back,
actually to around our blog's beginnings!
She is one of the most creative bloggers-
her decorative painting is so professional
but the quirkiness of her designs is mind boggling-
This table is just one of the amazing pieces she created-
Go check out her blog, especially the hand crafted
outdoor dragonflies and butterflies!!

Hope you enjoyed some of my favorites-enjoy the weekend!

Gotta fly, take care-

Priceless Pin Love

My love for Pinterest is undying-
Every day I fall in love over and over again-
so I've decided to share some of my faves each week and
see if you agree with me!

This week I'm showcasing some of my favorite banquettes--
lovely and well appointed eating areas for the home's most popular room!

These built in banquette fits a narrow space perfectly-
the glass cabinets showcase the homeowners collectibles,
the drawers beneath the seats add needed storage
and the chandelier is the perfect scale for this space!
Another showcased built in banquette features a tufted upholstered back-
the placement among the windows shows off nature's promise and
the capiz shell chandelier glistens above!
 built-in booth...

House Beautiful shows a different take on
a built in eating area-
this windowed room is banked by built in seating-
some for eating and others for relaxing-
who couldn't fall in love with this set up!

This built in is a single banquette
with two easy chairs accompanying the set up-
The high upholstered back adds comfort as well as a
pop of design to the neutral set!

Hope you enjoyed these Pin Loves!

Saturday (oops) Sunday Favorites

Well, this post began as Saturday Favorites
but life got in the way,
so today I'll refer to it as Sunday Favorites
but we won't let that happen again!!

created this  beauty of an ottoman
using a dropcloth and binding tape-
the best part was it cost her less than $10!
Don't you just love the size of it too?
Go check out her before and after-
the room looks amazing!

Becky, from Generation to Generation
created a darling of an idea-
she dolled up plain porcelain knobs with crystal jewels
and oh what an oo la la look!
Definitely gotta try this out-

Dinah from DIY Inspired designed
these adorable burlap place mats
using two of my faves- burlap and stencils!
She gives a simple step by step and her table looks simply charming!
Julie from Less Than Perfect Life of Bliss
designed a bee motif rug from
a simple, cheap rug from Home Depot-
Her husband designed the look and she painted the design -
Her front porch is  adorable!

Hope you liked my favorites-
a day late but not a dollar short-

Wishing all the dads out there a Happy Father's Day!

Saturday Favorites

My favorite day has arrived!

designed this beautiful slipcover
for Colette, her french settee!
She gives a step by step with her pictures-
The shape is divine and the ruffle is the finishing touch!

ordinary and rather drab farm chairs
and transformed them with a little paint
and some grain sacks!

Then she added a special surprise on their backs-

Monica from Decorating Insanity
created this fetching little table
using her special formula to create the color "appletini"-
You have to check out her etsy store too with all her
fabulous pieces!

Melody from My Passion For Decor
took a very sad, well worn armoire
and breathed new life into it-
The color, hardware and distressing
have created a beauty of a piece!

Hope you enjoyed this week's show!
Have a wonderful weekend-

Saturday Favorites

My Saturday Favorites
are here again!

First up is Kristel from The Velvet Door-
Her master bedroom is a-ma-zing!
All the mirrored details,
the wall color with all the white accessories
 and that chandy!!
You have to stop by to check out all the beautiful details!

Another favorite comes from Pam of Simple Details
She created these herb markers very simply-
bricks and a permanent marker do the trick-
they've been around for awhile
and look as great as they did when she made them!

Don't you just love this potting bench?
Gail from Gail's Decorative Touch
transformed this wood bench with a little paint and it
went from plain to pizazz!
Love the way she's styled it with the tin potted
red geraniums too!
(I have a slight obsession with potting benches,
if you haven't noticed!!)
009

Pamela from My Front Porch To Yours
transformed this lovely writing desk with enough paint to
show off the beauty of all the carved details-
What I would give to be seated at this desk!

Hope you enjoyed this week's show!
Have a great weekend
Take care, gotta fly-
